Nollywood actress and producer Biola Bayo is still struggling to come to terms with the painful loss of her colleague and close friend, Allwell Ademola, whose sudden death has left the Yoruba movie industry in deep mourning.

In an emotional social media post, Biola Bayo shared a touching video clip of the late actress at her home, revealing how close they were in the days leading up to Allwell’s passing. According to Biola, the tragedy feels unreal, especially because they had spent quality time together shortly before her death.

The actress disclosed that Allwell Ademola was with her at her house during her birthday celebration, where she appeared cheerful and playful, just as she always was. Biola revealed that they had plans to spend more time together the following day, plans that were tragically cut short. 

Recalling their final moments together, Biola explained that she personally drove Allwell Ademola to the movie premiere of Ageshinkole and returned her safely to her house afterward. The heartbreaking memory has made the loss even more difficult for her to process.

Describing the late actress as a bundle of joy, Biola stated that Allwell was one of the happiest souls she had ever encountered, someone whose presence lit up every room she entered. Overwhelmed by grief, the actress openly expressed her disbelief, pleading for someone to wake her up from what she described as a terrible nightmare. 

Sharing her pain, Biola wrote:

“Is that all? Allwell, se o ti tan ni Yemi? Sebi, we were meant to go out together a day before? You were still in my house on my birthday playing as usual. I took you to the premiere of Ageshinkole in my car and brought you back to my house.

You were the happiest soul I ever met. Somebody should please wake me up from this terrible nightmare, cos this can never be our reality.”

The death of Allwell Ademola has continued to spark an outpouring of grief from fans, colleagues, and industry stakeholders, many of whom have described her as a talented actress with a vibrant spirit and infectious laughter.

As tributes keep pouring in, Biola Bayo’s heartfelt message reflects the deep pain and shock currently being experienced within Nollywood, a reminder of how fragile life can be and how deeply loved Allwell Ademola was.
