Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has shared a deeply reflective message about her strength, royal identity, and the purpose she now carries as a queen in the Ile-Ife kingdom. 

Marking the beginning of a new month, the respected royal figure took to social media to speak on her journey, revealing how her upbringing and royal heritage shaped the woman she has become.

According to Queen Ashley, understanding her position within the palace comes naturally because she has lived royalty all her life. In her words, “I understand my role as a queen now because I was born and raised a princess, prepared by yesterday’s lessons to wear today’s crown with purpose, power, and peace.”

She described her inner strength as something profound—an inheritance that continues to grow as she walks confidently toward her destiny. Emphasizing her balance of softness and firmness, she added, “My strength is a legacy that is passed down, lived through, and blossoms with every step I take toward becoming who I was always meant to be. I am both grace and fire, intuition and intellect, resilience wrapped in elegance. When I step into my purpose, I don’t just evolve, I reign.”

Queen Ashley, a mother of two, has increasingly embraced her role within the palace, often using her platform to express gratitude, love, and admiration for her husband, the Ooni of Ife. Earlier in October, she penned a heartfelt anniversary message celebrating three years of marriage with the monarch. She described him as her greatest blessing and recalled how her “heart found its home” from the moment he chose her, pledging to love and stand by him always.

Princess Ashley officially became the Ooni’s fourth wife in October 2023. The union fulfilled a long-held dream for her, having been closely connected to the monarch for years. Their royal wedding in Ile-Ife drew dignitaries, traditional leaders, and well-wishers from across Nigeria.

Celebrating the new month, the queen concluded her message with a warm greeting to her followers: “Happy New Month Folks.”
