“Your Body Is Just Big For Nothing, You No Even Sabi Throw Blow”—Portable Ridicules VDM Over Flight Brawl

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has stirred fresh drama online after mocking his longtime critic, Very Dark Man (VDM), over the activist’s recent altercation with comedian Mr Jollof. 

The two public figures were filmed engaging in a heated physical fight aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight reportedly traveling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos. The viral video captured Mr Jollof and Very Dark Man exchanging blows mid-air, a spectacle that has since dominated social media discourse.

Reacting to the incident, Portable took to his Instagram page to ridicule Very Dark Man, accusing him of lacking composure and discipline by allowing himself to be dragged into a physical confrontation on a commercial flight. 

The singer did not hold back, calling for VDM’s arrest while mocking his physique and fighting skills.

In his characteristic unfiltered style, Portable said: “I hear say Mr Jollof turn Very Dark Man body to chicken dey chop am. See someone they want to give N100 million to fight me. Your body is just big for nothing, you no even sabi throw blow.” His remarks quickly went viral, fueling conversations about the ongoing tensions among Nigerian celebrities and internet personalities.

Portable further used the opportunity to remind followers of his previous clash with Very Dark Man. Months earlier, when VDM criticized the Big 3—Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy—for displaying luxury and wealth during Nigeria’s economic hardship, Portable publicly defended them. At that time, he slammed the activist for hypocrisy and questioned his credibility, saying VDM once struggled financially before rising to fame. The singer reiterated that comment once again, stating that VDM had once “drunk pure water” before he could afford a Benz.

The mid-air fight and Portable’s fiery reaction have added yet another chapter to the ongoing feud between entertainers and social commentators in Nigeria’s online space.
