Nigerian music producer and record label executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, famously known as Don Jazzy, has opened up on why he cannot reconcile with his ex-wife, Michelle Jackson, despite continued pleas from fans for the couple to reunite.
Don Jazzy made the revelation during a recent interactive session with fans on X, where he responded to several personal questions about his marital status and future plans.
One fan, apparently hopeful that the 42-year-old could give marriage another chance, appealed to him to consider reconciling with Michelle, describing him as a man who deserves companionship.
But the Mavin Records boss explained that reconciliation is no longer possible because Michelle has moved on with her life.
The fan wrote, “Make una reconcile again naa,” urging Don Jazzy to rethink his decision. In response, the producer stated simply, “She don remarry,” confirming that his former wife is now married to someone else.
His comment immediately sparked reactions across social media, with many fans expressing surprise at the revelation, while others praised him for handling the matter with maturity.
Don Jazzy has never shied away from discussing his past marriage. In April 2021, he publicly disclosed for the first time that he had once been married.
According to him, the marriage ended just two years after it began because he was too consumed by his ambitions in the music industry, leaving little room for the commitment and attention that a marriage required.
He explained then that his passion for building a successful music career often overshadowed his responsibilities at home, ultimately leading to the breakdown of the relationship.
Over the years, Don Jazzy has maintained that he is not actively seeking to remarry. He believes that his demanding lifestyle as a producer and talent developer could once again become a source of conflict in any new marriage.
This consistent stance has made fans even more curious about his personal life, especially given his success and influence in the entertainment sector.
Despite remaining single, Don Jazzy emphasised that he is fulfilled and content with the life he has built. He noted that his greatest joy comes from his career achievements and the profound impact he has had on the Nigerian music industry.
The Mavin boss has discovered, developed, and mentored several of the biggest stars in Afrobeats, including Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Rema, and Ayra Starr. These accomplishments, he said, serve as proof that his sacrifices were not in vain.
Don Jazzy’s revelations came at a time when conversations about celebrity marriages and breakups continue to dominate social media.
Many fans commended him for his honesty and openness, while others urged him to remain hopeful about love in the future.
