Veteran Nollywood star Doris Ogala has sounded alarm over her junior colleague, Regina Daniels, revealing that the young actress appears to have shut herself away and is non-responsive to friends or well-wishers. In a public Instagram video, Ogala disclosed that “they’re trying to reach out to her, the people around her say she hasn’t left her room.
She is just making the videos, and everyone is trying to reach out to this girl.” She added with concern: “I don’t know what they have done to this girl, and I don’t know who is judging Gina.
The mother is devastated right now; she doesn’t mind coming out to beg everybody. I can’t hold the mother, I don’t know what to do.”
In a separate strand of the drama, Regina Daniels has publicly broken down, hinting at a traumatic series of events tied to her marriage and family. In a tear-filled video shared on Instagram, she stated:
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind… What am I even begging for? I will go back.” She claimed her return to her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, would be if it ensures the release of her brother. “I will return if that’s the only way — do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house,” Regina wrote, adding: “Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammy West … Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria, that’s what this means. We lost or rather I lost!” She also cried out over the continual arrests of family members and the emotional toll it is taking.
Taken together, the two voices reflect a deepening crisis: Doris Ogala’s plea for help and clarity, and Regina Daniels’ raw admission of despair as she navigates family pressure, alleged abuse and threats to her freedom and mental health.
The situation continues to unfold, raising urgent questions around support, protection and agency within relationships.
