Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has shared her frustration after losing access to her Instagram account. Speaking on her new account, she posted an emotional video explaining that her previous account had been taken over unexpectedly.
Chukwu described how losing the account affected her, noting the memories, connections, and time invested in it. Despite the setback, she said she is determined to start anew.
She wrote, “Hey everyone, I just want to let you all know that my previous Instagram account was taken unexpectedly. I lost access and couldn’t recover it, which honestly felt frustrating after all the time, memories, and connections built there. But I’m choosing to start fresh and keep going. This is my new and only official account for now, as we are still recovering the previous one. If you’ve supported me before, please follow this page, stay connected, and let’s grow again. Your support means everything to me. New beginnings, same energy, same me. Thank you for being here. Pls help me share and repost @reginachukwu_.”
Chukwu’s situation mirrors that of actress Biola Bayo, who also lost all her Instagram accounts. Bayo claimed that her accounts were repeatedly reported, adding that those targeting her were “fighting God, not me.”
In a separate revelation, Chukwu spoke about the passing of her husband. She shared that her youngest child was only four months old when her husband died, following a prolonged illness that drained his finances. She recounted the painful moments, including her husband pleading with his mother for a mercy death.
Earlier this year, in March, Chukwu celebrated her birthday by reflecting on her journey as a widow, emphasizing her resilience and continued determination to succeed.
In December 2023, she announced she had acquired her own house, narrating the challenges she faced as a single mother, including moving into her father’s home before her life took a positive turn.
Chukwu has also expressed pride in her role as a mother, saying her late husband would have been proud of her. She hinted that she has many more personal stories to share, potentially through a movie in the future.
Her social media setback has not deterred her, as she uses her new account to reconnect with fans and continue sharing her journey.
