Davido’s much-publicized 5ive Tour stop in Enugu has sparked public outrage after concertgoers described what should have been a night of entertainment as a nightmare of disorganization, insecurity, and chaos.

The concert, held on Saturday, November 1 at Michael Okpara Square, reportedly drew a massive crowd that far exceeded the venue’s capacity. Attendees took to TikTok and X to recount disturbing experiences of overcrowding, harassment, and poor security response throughout the event.

One TikTok user, #adis_beautification, said the gates were overrun by non-ticket holders after security failed to control the surge. “Those without a ticket entered; the gate was broken, and the security guards weren’t at the gate. The security personnel did a terrible job. Touts entered. They used razor blades to tear bags,” she narrated, adding that her phone was stolen during the commotion.

Another attendee, #hairz_by_steph, spoke about being harassed in the packed crowd. “They were pressing girls’ breasts and buttocks. A guy behind me was rock-hard. I lost my nails; the crowd was too much,” she said, expressing disappointment over the event’s poor organisation and Davido’s late appearance at around 3 a.m., nearly 12 hours after the scheduled start.

In another account, #mmachukwu described a frightening situation at the entrance. “There were tasers, there were canes… security was flogging everyone in sight. The stampede was real—gates were forced down, people were falling over each other, and security completely broke down,” she said.

A visibly distressed user, #reallifestories, shared through tears that she lost everything she had brought to the show: “The wig I borrowed was stolen, my shoe, my other phone—everything in my bag.”

Online reactions have since condemned the organisers for their handling of the concert, questioning how thousands entered without tickets. One user wrote on X, “It’s 2025—there’s no excuse. Event organisers must prioritise safety, especially for women, at concerts like this.”

As of now, Davido and his team have not released an official statement regarding the incident.
