Controversial Nigerian disc jockey Ademola Abiodun, widely known as DJ Chicken, has once again stirred up social media after delivering a sharp rebuke to street-hop singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly called Portable, over his recent comments about rapper Olamide.

The drama began when Portable publicly expressed his displeasure, claiming that Olamide failed to invite him to perform at his London show. In a viral video, the “Zazuu” crooner even went as far as suggesting that he played a major role in boosting Olamide’s popularity. This statement instantly triggered backlash, with DJ Chicken stepping in to counter Portable's claims.

In his response, DJ Chicken reminded fans of his own experience with Olamide’s generosity. He recounted how the YBNL boss gifted him N8 million some years ago—money he used to purchase an expensive luxury chair. Mocking Portable, he challenged him by asking whether he owned anything comparable. DJ Chicken also alleged that Portable has been borrowing chairs, a jab seemingly aimed at undermining Portable’s financial status and lifestyle.

Taking the confrontation further, DJ Chicken warned Portable to stay away from Lekki, hinting at unspecified consequences should the singer dare to visit the area. He then ridiculed Portable’s bank balance, questioning his financial credibility while continuing his online attacks.

The feud between DJ Chicken and Portable is far from new; both entertainers have a long history of trading insults and taunts on social media. Months earlier, DJ Chicken had mocked Portable’s real estate venture — particularly a hotel built near a mosque — claiming the unfinished structures would be more useful in housing the homeless in Ogun State.

Fans have reacted with mixed amusement and criticism, leaving comments such as:

@bonasixt: “Portable chicken, two of una fit each other.”

@official_toppec: “English hard chai werey first pause, kick start again.”

@its_yindah: “What’s the difference btw you two? ore meji, werey meji.”

@shaneghe_01: “Make dem use DJ Chicken and Portable cleanse Nigeria, una join our problem for this country.”
