Social media has erupted with mixed reactions following widespread reports that Nollywood actress Anita Joseph’s marriage to entertainer MC Fish may have hit the rocks.
Filmmaker Stanley Ontop sparked the controversy after alleging that MC Fish had walked out of the marriage for another woman. According to him, Anita reacted by throwing his belongings outside the house.
He wrote:

Stanley’s claims quickly spread across social platforms, triggering a wave of emotional reactions from fans and critics alike.
One social media user wrote, “I been done already known say he no go last.”
Another commented, “Nawa oh. God abeg.”
A sympathizer added, “Anita Joseph really loves and adores that guy. It’s well na. God, go punish that guy.”
Offering a more reflective view, someone wrote, “We must not laugh or gloat at the misfortunes of others, for tomorrow it might be our turn.”
Another user stated, “Men value who they invest in, and men will only invest in who they love.”
A different comment read, “Men no dey value woman wey dey take care of them financially; if na them be breadwinner them go value the woman well.”

These reactions came as a surprise to many because, for years, Anita Joseph and MC Fish publicly portrayed a loving and united front.
During their fourth wedding anniversary last year, Anita had celebrated their journey, reminding critics that people once claimed the marriage wouldn’t last two months. She proudly noted that the union had survived against all odds, saying that some even placed bets against them, yet “God showed off and showed out.”
MC Fish had also reaffirmed their love at the time, stating that their flame was still burning strong. Their affection was further on display earlier this year when he surprised her with a white Range Rover for her birthday—a gesture Anita described affectionately, calling him her “Odogwu” and praying for more blessings upon him.
Their public display of love continued in March when Anita praised her husband for being supportive, explaining that living with him had been a joy. She hailed him as an intentional partner, advising women that it was a “red flag” if their men didn’t pamper them the way MC Fish did.
Despite their affection, their marriage had long been a topic of debate. Some critics claimed Anita was controlling her husband. She clapped back, urging such critics to “try it and see how it ends.” She also wondered why people constantly judged her marriage when other celebrities were married without backlash, insisting her own union was “sealed because it was built on the rock of God.”
As of now, neither Anita nor MC Fish has publicly confirmed or denied the rumoured marriage crisis, leaving fans in anticipation of an official statement.
