Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe could not hold back her emotions as she broke down in tears during the Service of Songs held in honour of her late mother, Madam Grace Abisola Owodunni. The emotional moment was captured in a trending online clip that has since stirred reactions across social media.
Recall that a few days ago, Mercy Aigbe announced the final burial arrangements for her mother, who recently passed on. The actress shared the official flyer detailing the programme, revealing that the burial would take place on November 29, 2025, in Lekki, Lagos.
As preparations intensify ahead of the burial scheduled for Saturday, the Aigbe family organised a solemn Service of Songs on Thursday, November 27th, attended by relatives, friends, and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
In the touching video circulated on social media, Mercy Aigbe is seen leading the pallbearers carrying her mother’s casket into the venue. Overcome with grief, the actress broke down in tears, unable to contain her sorrow as mourners gathered to pay their final respects. The heartbreaking moment triggered an outpouring of sympathy from fans online.
