“Leave Small Children Alone” – Maraji Slams Ned Nwoko Over Regina Daniels Drama

Content creator, Maraji, has openly criticised Senator Ned Nwoko over his recent public statements about his wife, Regina Daniels. 

The comedian accused Nwoko of dragging his wife into unnecessary drama and embarrassing her with allegations she believes should never have been made public.

Nwoko had reportedly claimed that Regina engages in drinking, smoking, and doing drugs – accusations that immediately sparked controversy online. 

Maraji, reacting to the claims, said she believes Ned’s version of events but insisted that his decision to publicly speak about them proves he is focusing on the wrong issues and directing his energy to the wrong audience. 

She noted that a man of his age should not be going back and forth with a much younger woman, especially when he already understands the generational gap between them.

According to her, Nwoko’s comments were unnecessary, and his attempt to justify himself before the public only worsened the situation. 

Maraji stated that if an “elder” decides to marry someone much younger, then he must also be prepared to deal with the youthful behaviour that comes with such a relationship.

 She stressed that no one expects a 20-something-year-old to act like a 60-year-old, and Nwoko should not have acted surprised by her supposed behaviour.

She said the senator’s explanations were pointless because no one demanded them. In her words, “We believe you, grandpa. All these ones you’re going up and down to explain, no need. You said she drinks, smokes, and does drugs, we believe. 

When elders spot little children misbehaving, they will say she is just a child. Just accept it.” She added that if Nwoko no longer wants to deal with youthful traits, he should “leave small children alone” and choose a mature woman within his age range.

Maraji emphasised that the entire situation could have been avoided if Nwoko had handled the matter privately. She questioned who exactly he was trying to convince with his long explanations and what he hoped the public would do with such information. 

To her, the senator’s actions reflect a deeper frustration, one she believes should have been managed at home instead of being thrown into the public space where Regina now bears the embarrassment.

Her comments have further intensified conversations around age-gap marriages, emotional maturity, and the responsibility of older partners in such unions.

 Social media users are now divided between those who believe Maraji is defending Regina out of sympathy and those who insist Ned Nwoko has the right to express himself, especially if the accusations are true.
