Nollywood star Regina Daniels has revealed that she is ready to return to her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, following the continued detention of her brother, Sammy West.
Taking to Instagram, the actress expressed deep frustration and emotional exhaustion, saying she had “given up” as the situation with her family worsened. Daniels lamented that she once respected the Nigerian Police Force but now feels ashamed, claiming that “the highest bidder always wins.”
“I give up! What was my brother’s offence? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-laws would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect, but shame on you all!!! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins,” she wrote.
In the lengthy post, Daniels stated that she felt “crippled” by the entire situation and was now ready to return to her estranged husband if that was what it would take to free her brother.
“I will return if that’s the only way, do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because, by law, there is no tangible case against Sammywest. Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria; that’s what this means. We lost, or rather I lost!” she wrote.
The actress alleged that her brother had been wrongfully detained and mistreated, insisting there was no legal justification for his arrest. Her post sparked widespread concern among fans, many of whom urged her to remain strong.
Earlier in the week, Daniels had accused Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her siblings. She claimed that her estranged husband wanted her to return to him and re-enter rehabilitation. According to her, she had been trying to maintain peace but could no longer ignore his actions against her family.
In another post, the actress said her brother had been “beaten like a criminal” by the police and questioned why such brutality was necessary. She accused Nwoko of abusing his influence and wealth to oppress her family, saying, “Ned thinks he has power, connections, and money, and believes I don’t.”
Regina had previously declared that her conflict with her ex-husband would be “a power-for-power, aura-for-aura” battle, adding that she did not regret marrying him but considered the union a temporary phase in her life’s journey.
The controversy follows Daniels’ viral video last week, where she tearfully alleged that she faced domestic violence during her marriage. In the clip, she said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen.”
In response, Ned Nwoko denied the allegations, claiming that Regina’s struggles were due to “drug and alcohol abuse.” He asserted that his attempts to get her professional help were met with resistance, further alleging that she had displayed violent behavior, attacking domestic staff and damaging property.
After leaving the marriage, Regina celebrated a new beginning by purchasing a mansion in Ikoyi, Lagos. Sharing photos of the home, she wrote that she “needed a roof over her head” and had provided one for herself and her family.
The unfolding saga continues to draw attention as both parties trade accusations, with the actress now seemingly willing to return to her estranged husband for the sake of her brother’s freedom.
