Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has issued a powerful and emotional condemnation of President Bola Tinubu, following the gruesome attack on a church in Kwara State. His fiery message, which has sparked intense reactions online, directly calls out the government’s handling of nationwide insecurity.

Falz wrote:

“How many more people have to be k!dnapped and murd£red in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you want to erase with your incompetence? You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. RESIGN NOW!”

His outburst followed the tragic events that unfolded in the Eruku community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. On Sunday evening, armed men invaded a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch during a worship service. Witnesses said the attackers, numbering more than five, stormed the church around 6 p.m., opening fire and causing panic among worshippers.

A live-streamed video of the service captured the frightening moment gunshots erupted, with worshippers seen scrambling for safety. By the time the shooting stopped, at least three people had lost their lives—including a man shot inside the church and another found dead in surrounding bushes.

A local vigilante identified as Segun Alaja was also shot and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Residents say the attackers abducted multiple worshippers, including the church pastor, with some eyewitnesses estimating that ten or more people may have been taken away.

The Eruku community has reportedly been battling repeated bandit incursions, with locals claiming that their pleas for government assistance have gone unanswered. Community members expressed frustration that despite several warnings, no proactive security measures were put in place to prevent the Sunday night tragedy.

Falz’s public outcry mirrors the growing anger among citizens who feel the government has failed to address worsening insecurity. His demand for President Tinubu’s resignation reflects a widespread sentiment that urgent action is needed to protect lives, restore peace, and rebuild public trust.
