Nollywood actress Christabel Egbenya is in a celebratory mood as she marks the fourth anniversary of her traditional wedding.
The movie star took to Instagram to reflect on her marital journey with heartfelt gratitude, describing her union as a blessing she does not take for granted.
In her emotional post, Christabel shared photos from her traditional marriage ceremony, reminiscing on the moment an “Imo State gentleman” travelled with his family to Edo State to officially seek her hand in marriage.
She noted that saying “I do” to him remains one of the best decisions of her life. Describing him as her best friend, her lovely husband, and her “sweet Igbo man,” the actress expressed joy at how their love has continued to grow each year.
According to Christabel, the past four years have felt like “a beautiful dream” as her relationship with her husband has only become stronger, more peaceful, and more fulfilling.
She reaffirmed her love for him, calling him “Daddy Triple K,” and thanked him for being a supportive partner who has walked with her through every season of their journey. Christabel declared that she looks forward to many more years together, adding that God has blessed their home with everything good that comes with marriage.
Her message read in part: “Four years ago, an Imo State gentleman came to Edo State with his people to ask for my hand in marriage, and I said ‘I do’ to my best friend, my lovely husband, my sweet Igbo man. Every year has been a beautiful dream; our love has grown stronger and more beautiful.
Thank you for being a good partner. I am so grateful for the journey we’ve had and can’t wait for more. Four years down, forever to go.”
Christabel also appealed to her fans to celebrate with her, noting that marital journeys are not always easy but are worth it when built on love and understanding. The actress, who fondly refers to herself as “mummy KKK,” added that her husband remains her favourite person in the world.
Friends and colleagues flooded her comment section to celebrate with her. Actress Eve Esin recalled being emotional on the wedding day and sent warm wishes. Chizzy Alichi, Destiny Etiko, Georgina Ibeh, and Benita Onyiuke also congratulated her.
Christabel and her husband welcomed their second child, a baby boy, last year. She previously opened up about her challenging pregnancy journey, thanking God for strength and safe delivery.
Their first child, a daughter born in April 2022, was named Chikaima Annabel Onumajuru during her dedication ceremony in Enugu.
The couple first had their traditional wedding in 2021 and later legalized the marriage at a customary court two years after. Despite being in the spotlight, Christabel has kept her husband’s identity private, choosing instead to share only the joyful parts of their life with the public.
As she marks this milestone, fans continue to send love and prayers, celebrating with the actress as she embraces another year of marital bliss.
