Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has reacted to criticism following her comments on her junior colleague, Regina Daniels’ marital issues.

Earlier reports indicated that Regina Daniels had alleged domestic violence in her marriage. In a viral video, the actress was seen surrounded by men as her brother intervened to defend her against thugs allegedly sent by her husband. Responding to the situation, Jegede advised Daniels to leave the marriage and cautioned her not to let “bitter and jobless internet trolls” influence her decisions. She stressed that domestic violence is unacceptable.

In a follow-up post, Jegede addressed the backlash she received online, revealing that she is focused on her own happiness rather than the criticism:

“I can’t see all your negative comments because I’m too busy enjoying the good times with mine.”

The discussion surrounding Regina Daniels’ situation continued as her elder brother, Sweezzy, dismissed allegations of drug abuse, noting that “there is no perfect couple.”

Meanwhile, Ned Nwoko’s brother, Dr. Michael Nwoko, called for privacy, urging fans and the public to remain calm and show understanding. He emphasized that the issue is a family matter that will be resolved privately.

Other industry voices also weighed in on the controversy. Actress Georgina Onuoha criticized Ned Nwoko for publicly portraying Regina Daniels as a drug addict within a short time, saying:

“What responsible man or husband publicly shames the mother of his children?”

Tonto Dikeh’s former partner, Prince Kpokpogri, also commented, urging Nigerians not to celebrate others’ struggles. Using his own experience with Tonto’s public breakup, he stated:

“Learn to support and uplift others instead of rejoicing over their difficult moments.”

Additionally, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo alleged that Ned Nwoko told her he was not home when Regina allegedly damaged property in the house. Olunloyo claimed that Regina had slapped two nannies and her driver and was using drugs during the incident.

The matter continues to spark debates online, with various celebrities and members of the public offering differing perspectives on domestic violence, marital privacy, and accountability in high-profile relationships.
