“What Responsible Man Publicly Shames His Wife?” — Georgina Onuoha Blasts Ned Nwoko Over Regina Daniels Saga

Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has strongly reacted to Senator Ned Nwoko’s public statement concerning his ongoing marital crisis with his wife, Regina Daniels. The actress condemned the billionaire politician’s decision to publicly accuse Regina of drug and alcohol abuse, describing it as both insensitive and damaging.

Ned Nwoko, in a recent public statement, attributed the recent tension in his marriage to what he called Regina’s “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” According to him, his efforts to help his wife seek professional treatment had been resisted, further alleging that the actress had displayed violent behaviour by assaulting three domestic staff and destroying household property.

Reacting on Instagram, Georgina Onuoha expressed deep disappointment at the senator’s choice to publicly humiliate his wife less than twenty-four hours after videos of her alleging domestic violence surfaced online. She questioned both his motives and his judgment as a husband and public figure.

“It is deeply distressing to witness the recent videos circulating on social media in which actress Regina Daniels appears to allege domestic violence at the hands of her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. These are grave and painful allegations that have understandably stirred public concern and outrage,” Georgina wrote.

She continued, “What is even more troubling is that within less than twenty-four hours of these claims emerging, Senator Nwoko publicly released a statement portraying his wife, the mother of his children, as a ‘drug addīct.’ Regardless of the truth behind any of these statements, the decision to respond in such a public, humiliating manner raises serious questions about motive, sensitivity, and the responsibilities of public office.”

Georgina further emphasized that a husband of Nwoko’s status should be a protector, not a public prosecutor. She argued that instead of seeking attention through a press release, the senator should have pursued counselling or professional help for his wife if the claims were genuine.

“By his own account, Senator Nwoko began courting Regina when she was a teenager and married her at eighteen,” she added. “How does a young woman who entered your care and household suddenly become, as you allege, an addīct under your supervision? If such behaviour occurred, would that not suggest neglect or emotional distress within the environment she found herself in?”

Georgina concluded her post by condemning Nwoko’s approach: “Even if one were to accept the senator’s narrative, what responsible man or husband publicly shames the mother of his children, knowing their children will one day read and see everything said about her? Such an act does not reflect love, care, or leadership; it reflects ego and self-preservation.”
