“There’s No Perfect Marriage, Anything wey Go Up Must Come Down ” – Regina Daniels’ Elder Brother Sweezzy Defends Her Against Ned Nwoko’s Drug Abuse Claims

Elder brother of actress Regina Daniels, known as Sweezzy, has publicly rejected the drug-abuse allegations made by her husband, Ned Nwoko.

Late last week, a video circulated showing Regina in tears, complaining about alleged domestic violence in her marriage: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house I am a queen. Not again, I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.” 

Reacting to the unrest, Senator Nwoko issued a statement blaming the crisis on what he described as his wife’s “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse”. He wrote:

 “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.” 

He further alleged she had attacked staff and destroyed property in his absence. 

In response, Sweezzy took to Instagram to defend his sister. He said:

 “PS: Regina Daniels is **not affiliated with any drug abuse or misuse. She is not granting any useless interviews or tryna feed y’all timelines!”

He added:

“Lol, where that girl wey say I no suppose dey post my Cana again? Before Ned, I steady on my kpo, After Ned, I still dey do my kpo. As I no talk so make una avoid me. No marriage without problems, but remember, I decided not to speak. … Anything wey go up must come down. Shout-out to y’all for your concerns, love, texts and check-ups. None is being taken for granted.”

The message affirms the family’s commitment to not entertain what they call speculative claims, while clearly contradicting the substance-abuse narrative.

Another brother of Regina, known publicly as Sammy West, also weighed in:

“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.” 

At present, Regina Daniels has not issued a formal public statement addressing either her husband’s claims or her brothers’ responses.

The unfolding drama highlights the complexities of high-profile marriages, where private issues become public  and where allegations of violence, substance misuse and loyalty all converge in the glare of social media and mainstream press.
