Nigerian controversial singer Portable has once again made headlines, this time targeting his fourth babymama, Ashabi, over her planned trip to South Africa.
During a TikTok live session, the singer warned the public to caution Ashabi, claiming she has been promoting brands linked to wealthy men. Portable revealed that despite his repeated attempts to prevent the trip, Ashabi is set to travel soon, and his efforts to influence her plans have been unsuccessful.
Portable drew comparisons with a previous trip Ashabi took to Qatar, saying he had gotten her pregnant and approved it. However, he lamented that his attempts to impregnate her during the South Africa journey were futile. The singer also highlighted that his wife, Bewaji, is currently pregnant and due to give birth soon, urging Ashabi to respect both him and his wife.
“You all should warn Ashabi because I always see her posting some rich men who gave her adverts. She is going to South Africa soon for a promo. When she wanted to go to Qatar, I got her pregnant and approved it. This South Africa journey, I have tried so hard to impregnate her so she can give birth to the third child, but she didn’t get pregnant. Bewaji is pregnant and will soon deliver. Tell Ashabi to respect me and Bewaji. I already have a house and car that I want to give her, but she must be loyal. You can see that she can’t leave me. It’s because I am taking care of her,” he said.
This latest outburst comes amid continued tension between Portable and Ashabi. In a previously leaked conversation on his Instagram page, the singer accused Ashabi of attempting to sabotage his marriage once again, describing her as “the mistake” of his life and blaming her for driving away one of his former partners, Queen Dami.
Reacting to the singer’s tirade, Ashabi insisted that this is not the first time Portable has publicly criticized her. She urged the public to treat the situation as if nothing had happened and emphasized that their relationship should not be used to make her look like a failure. She added that no one should offer her advice in the midst of the drama.
The relationship between Portable and Ashabi has been tumultuous over the past two years. Their romance became public while the singer was married, but despite ongoing conflicts, the pair continue to resolve their disputes and remain together.
Earlier this year, in June, Portable accused Ashabi of trying to turn his wife against him. He claimed she was feeding negativity about him to his spouse and attempting to cause trouble in his home. Portable also accused Ashabi of seeking attention and clout through his marriage.
Back in March, the singer explained why he took only his wife, Bewaji, on a trip to London. At the time, he criticized Ashabi for her reaction to the trip and accused her of constantly competing with his wife, whom he described as peaceful.
With tensions still high, it appears the ongoing saga between Portable, Ashabi, and his pregnant wife, Bewaji, is far from over, with each party continuing to assert their positions publicly.
