A Nigerian businesswoman was left in tears after discovering that her staff allegedly misappropriated over ₦10 million worth of her business goods. In a viral TikTok video shared on her page, @hannabelfertility, she narrated the shocking incident, revealing her deep sense of betrayal.
Crying bitterly, she expressed her heartbreak over the incident, emphasizing that she never expected such disloyalty despite treating her staff exceptionally well.
She said, “I don’t owe salaries and, most times, I pay even before the end of the month. I took them like my sisters and family. They came to my house, slept there, ate there, and yet they did this to me.”
In her post, she explained that she gave her staff freedom and treated them like family, only for them to repay her kindness with deceit. She disclosed that the total amount allegedly lost from her business was over ₦10 million.
The TikTok video shows her breaking down as she recounted the incident:
"As we speak now, they’re all in the police station answering questions. I don’t know where to start from. I had to seize all their phones. Let me even go through them and see what has been happening."
