Nollywood actress and influencer Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian singer husband, Juma Jux, have joyfully marked a major milestone in their journey as new parents — the 40th-day celebration of their son, Prince Raheem Ayomide Mkambala, also fondly called Rakeem.
According to NollywoodTimes, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in Canada on Sunday, August 24th. True to Islamic tradition, they organized a special event to commemorate their son’s 40th day on earth and held his official naming ceremony in Tanzania.
Clips circulating online show the glamorous couple hosting family and friends at the intimate celebration, which was filled with prayers, music, and smiles.
A week before the ceremony, Priscilla, along with her mother and newborn son, had returned to Tanzania after her postpartum recovery in Canada. The new mum received a grand welcome from her husband, an emotional moment that delighted fans online.
To celebrate the milestone, the couple released adorable family portraits, showcasing their joy and gratitude.
On her postpartum journey, Priscilla opened up about her experience. Sharing her labor story, she revealed:
“We had to rush to the hospital at 3 a.m. Contractions aren’t a joke, and all my plans to slay at the hospital and create content were cancelled.”
She also praised her actress-mother, Lola Alao, saying:
“My mum is my lifesaver. She takes care of almost everything, making sure I rest and focus on healing perfectly. I’m truly blessed to come from a lineage of strong women.”
The couple’s marriage story has also drawn attention. While addressing critics and “womb watchers” on Snapchat, Priscilla disclosed:
“We got married last year in a private Nikkai wedding. The public Nikkah was just to celebrate with friends and family.”
Priscilla and Juma tied the knot in a lavish six-part wedding ceremony in Tanzania and Nigeria between February and May, after their private Islamic wedding.
Fans have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising the young couple for honoring tradition and openly sharing their journey into parenthood.
