Ivy Ifeoma, the wife of Nigerian music star Paul Okoye (also known as Rudeboy of Psquare), has opened up about how supportive her husband was during the birth of their daughter in the United States.
Speaking on the BTS Reality Show, Ivy revealed that the couple had no domestic help while abroad, which made Paul step up to the role of a hands-on father and partner.
“My man is very supportive. He’s not new to this dad’s business; he has done it twice. But I noticed there are some things he didn’t know how to do very well. After I gave birth, he was cooking for me all through. He was serving me breakfast in bed. That time we were in the US, and it was just the two of us; we had no help. I mean, if he didn’t do it, who would do it?” she said.
It was reported in October that Paul and Ivy welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in the U.S. To celebrate the arrival of their daughter, Paul Okoye surprised Ivy with a Range Rover SUV as a push gift. Sharing pictures of her new ride on Instagram, Ivy described herself as “built for the fast lane” while introducing her new “baby” to the world.
In addition to the luxury car, Paul reportedly purchased a new home in the U.S., which many fans speculated was a gift for Ivy and their newborn.
The couple, who had a low-key traditional wedding in Igbere, Abia State, have often been the subject of social media discussions. Since their relationship went public, Ivy has faced criticism from online users, many of whom accused her of being involved in Paul’s split from his ex-wife, Anita.
Addressing the backlash, the influencer admitted that online comments sometimes hurt her, especially when people label her a “homewrecker.”
“I had nothing to do with Paul and Anita’s marriage split. Many people are addicted to misinformation,” she said on her Instagram story, adding that she began dating Paul when he was already “very single.”
Paul Okoye also came to her defense, emphasizing that many online users thrive on toxic narratives, hoping every divorce ends in chaos. He noted that people often look for someone to blame just for their entertainment.
