Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has opened up about the positive influence his fiancée, Janet Atom, has had on his life, crediting her for keeping him grounded and away from the temptations that often come with fame.
The “Who’s Your Guy” crooner, who is known for his soft-spoken personality and faith-driven messages, revealed that before meeting Janet, he often found himself surrounded by women and distractions, particularly in Lekki, an area in Lagos famous for its nightlife and social scene.
Spyro admitted that those experiences almost derailed his focus and spiritual balance until he met the woman who now gives his life purpose and direction.
In a heartfelt post shared on his Instagram page, Spyro showered praise on his fiancée, describing her as his “Jesus baddie.” He wrote, “Eiii God! My very own Jesus baddie @_callme_njure. Thank you again for saving me from Lekki girls o, na me know wettin my eyes see.”
The singer’s post has since sparked conversations online, with many fans praising him for openly appreciating his partner while others commended Janet for being a positive influence in his life. Spyro’s statement highlights his journey of personal growth and his commitment to staying faithful despite the challenges that come with fame in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Reflecting on his relationship, Spyro confessed that meeting Janet changed his outlook on love and life. According to him, she has been instrumental in keeping him spiritually and emotionally centered. “I used to be easily distracted,” he reportedly told a close friend. “But with Janet, I found peace. She helps me stay focused on my goals and reminds me to put God first in everything.”
Daily Post recalls that Spyro recently got engaged to Janet Atom, a beautiful entrepreneur and model, in September. The singer revealed that they first met at a nightclub, an encounter that quickly blossomed into a strong relationship built on faith, trust, and understanding.
While announcing their engagement, Spyro noted that the moment felt divine, saying he knew she was “the one” from the start.
Since their engagement, the couple has continued to share glimpses of their love life on social media, often expressing gratitude for finding each other. Fans have described their relationship as “goals,” admiring the way Spyro balances fame with humility and respect for his partner.
Spyro, who has often used his platform to speak about love, faith, and discipline, said his fiancée helps him navigate fame without losing himself. “Every man needs someone who keeps him accountable. Janet is that person for me,” he said in one of his recent interviews.
Their relationship appears to have strengthened the singer’s resolve to live differently in an industry where temptation and scandal are common.
As Spyro continues to make waves in the Nigerian music scene, he seems more focused than ever a change he credits entirely to the woman he now proudly calls his “Jesus baddie.”
