Lagos Anti-Drug Ambassador and social media influencer, Mandy Kiss, has addressed the controversies surrounding her bold online image, stressing that her persona on social media is strictly for entertainment and content creation, not a reflection of her real-life character.

In an emotional video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Mandy sought to set the record straight about the misconceptions surrounding her personality. She firmly denied claims that she is a sex worker or a habitual drug user, explaining that her online presence is carefully curated to attract attention and engage her audience.

“I know I’m a bad influence to the community, but I’m not an olosho (sex worker). All I do online is create content, I just want to trend,” she said, acknowledging the provocative nature of her posts while clarifying her true intentions.

The influencer also revealed that her recent absence from social media was due to personal struggles with depression, not public criticism or pressure. She highlighted the impact mental health challenges can have on social media personalities, noting that her temporary retreat was necessary for her wellbeing.

“I’m very respectful and calm in person, and I don’t do drugs,” Mandy explained. “I only claimed to be an olosho online to trend. I am very calm, I am reserved, I am respectful.”

She further addressed misconceptions about drug use, revealing that while she had experimented with cannabis during a period of depression, she has since stopped and does not use drugs recreationally.

“I don’t pimp out girls, I don’t take drugs, I only took canna, and it was because I was depressed, but I have stopped it,” she clarified. “Nobody forced me; it’s all about withdrawal.”

Mandy’s candid confession has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms. Many users have praised her honesty and commended her for addressing the mental health challenges often faced by influencers, especially those navigating the pressures of online fame.

Her revelation has also brought attention to the fine line that content creators sometimes walk between entertainment and public perception. While provocative content can generate engagement and trending moments, it can also lead to widespread misconceptions about an influencer’s personal life and values.

By speaking openly about her mental health and clarifying her online persona, Mandy Kiss has contributed to a broader conversation about authenticity, mental wellbeing, and the pressures of social media stardom. Her statements underscore the importance of separating online performance from real-life behavior and understanding that internet fame often comes with significant emotional challenges.

As her video continues to circulate online, fans and followers have expressed support for her transparency, emphasizing the need for empathy and understanding when judging public figures who present exaggerated or provocative images online. Mandy Kiss’s message serves as a reminder that what is seen on social media may not always reflect reality, and mental health should be prioritized above digital fame.
