Former Big Brother Naija housemate and billionaire’s son, Kiddwaya, has stirred controversy after boldly revealing what he considers his “occupation.”

The reality TV star, who is the son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Terry Waya, made the statement during a recent appearance on the Off The Record podcast, where he openly described himself as a “man of leisure.”

When asked about his source of income, Kiddwaya admitted that he does not work or run any business. Instead, he explained that his lifestyle revolves around traveling, partying, and enjoying life to the fullest.

“What I do for a living is that I wake up, I decide what destination I want to fly to, I go to that destination, I’m with my boys and girls and have fun; we drink, eat, and party. And we repeat,” he said.

He went on to emphasize that he has no interest in engaging in any form of work, saying, “I’m a man of leisure. My view on life is live it to the fullest.

I’m not interested in working. I can tell you I am into oil and trade, but that is not my truth. It was my truth before, trying to figure out how to tell the world what I do.

The world is not trying to hear that. So, I’m giving them my truth and also the truth they want to hear, which is I am a rich man’s son and I’m living my life January to January. I’m having fun.”

Kiddwaya’s remarks have sparked conversations on social media, with many Nigerians reacting differently to his frankness. While some criticized his lack of ambition, others praised him for being honest about his privileged background and lifestyle.

The reality star also addressed questions about how his attitude toward life might change when he decides to settle down.

He made it clear that marriage will not alter his fun-loving lifestyle, saying he would only marry a woman who shares his outlook on life and enjoys the same kind of freedom and excitement.

According to him, “Marriage will not stop me from living my life. I’ll marry a woman who loves to have fun, just like me.”

Despite describing himself as a man of leisure, Kiddwaya insisted that he still works hard to protect his family’s image and maintain his personal integrity. He explained that avoiding scandals and controversies is one of the ways he shows responsibility.

“I work hard to maintain my integrity and my family’s reputation. Many people in my position would have misused these privileges, but I choose to stay disciplined and focused,” he added.

Kiddwaya’s comments have reignited discussions about wealth, privilege, and the work ethic among Nigeria’s elite children. Some argue that his statement reflects the growing divide between Nigeria’s rich and average citizens, while others see it as a refreshing expression of personal truth in an industry often driven by appearances.

Regardless of the public reaction, Kiddwaya appears unfazed, standing firm in his belief that life should be enjoyed without apology or restraint.
