Big Brother Naija Level Up winner, Phyna, has opened up about the transformative power of choosing herself. The reality TV star, still mourning the loss of her sister, took to Twitter and Instagram to share her personal journey, revealing that she stopped seeking love in places that hurt her and began embracing life fully.

“Somewhere between loss and silence, I found it, the true worth of life, not in riches or noise, but in breath, grace, and being. I stopped searching for love in places that broke me, and found life blooming the moment I chose myself,” Phyna wrote.

Phyna’s revelation comes after last year’s buzz when she fueled dating rumors with a captivating photo alongside a mysterious man. Fans speculated about the identity of the man, noting his dreadlocks resembled those of singer Kaid, sparking online discussions.

The reality star also reflected on relationships following the tragic news of Kenyan athlete Rebecca Cheptegei’s death, highlighting how she moved on from a toxic past relationship. 

In a candid interview, Phyna discussed dating dynamics in Edo State, noting, “Edo men are notorious and well known for dating women for years without marrying them.” She shared her personal experience, revealing she dated an Edo man for 12 years, urging women not to waste precious years waiting for a man.

In an Instagram Live, Phyna shared her preference for partners, explaining she would love to marry someone like rapper and singer Shallipopi. She added, “I can’t date an Igbo man and would prefer to date an Edo or a Yoruba man.”

Phyna’s love life also made headlines during her time in the BBN house. She had a brief relationship with cohousemate Groovy, which ended months after the show. 

Phyna clarified in an interview that their relationship was never serious, stating, “We never dated; we were only playing games, and the game was over.” Groovy later reacted with a subtle diss, which Phyna met with sharp responses of her own.

Phyna’s journey of self-discovery continues to inspire fans as she champions self-love, resilience, and embracing life’s true worth beyond superficial attachments.
