“I Don’t Mind an Open Marriage” – Blaqbonez Sparks Debate with Bold Relationship Views

Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez, has once again stirred social media conversations with his unconventional view on relationships and marriage.

The Emeka Must Shine crooner revealed that he wouldn’t mind being in an open marriage, explaining that sexual exclusivity isn’t a realistic expectation in long-term relationships.

Speaking on the latest episode of the In My Opinion podcast, Blaqbonez argued that sexual exploration outside marriage should not be seen as a taboo, especially as passion tends to fade over time in most relationships.

According to him, couples often struggle to maintain the same level of intimacy they had in the early days of their union, and that reality should be acknowledged rather than ignored.

“I don’t mind having an open marriage,” the rapper boldly declared. “Most married couples don’t keep having the same amount of sex they were having at the beginning. It will reduce. If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling, touring, and not available to be intimate with her all the time, that’s okay. There’s more to marriage than sex.”

Blaqbonez further stressed that while physical satisfaction can come from outside, emotional and mental bonds in a marriage are far deeper and not easily replaced.

He believes that no outsider can match the emotional connection and understanding that exist between him and his partner.

“It will be difficult for a random person to just come and match up with what I have put in there. Nobody is just going to get her sexually and also mentally addicted to them. They probably can’t make her laugh the way I do,” he added.

The rapper, known for his bold takes and controversial opinions, went on to say that if he ever gets married, he would prefer a living arrangement where he and his wife have separate rooms. For him, personal space is as important as intimacy.

“If I’m even going to get married, I need two rooms. Me and my wife will only meet when we want to have intimacy,” he stated.

Blaqbonez’s comments have since sparked mixed reactions among fans and social media users. While some applauded him for being honest about his beliefs and setting realistic expectations about marriage, others criticized him for promoting infidelity and undermining traditional values.

This isn’t the first time the rapper has made headlines for his unorthodox views on love and relationships. Known for his humorous and often candid approach, Blaqbonez has previously described himself as a “relationship realist,” claiming that many people cheat because they have unrealistic expectations of fidelity in today’s world.

As always, his recent remarks have fueled ongoing conversations about the concept of open marriages and whether modern relationships should adapt to evolving personal and social dynamics.

Whether his views are accepted or not, one thing is certain Blaqbonez has once again managed to get everyone talking.
