Controversial social media influencer Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has raised alarm over an alleged plot to have her forcefully admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

The influencer made the claim in a post shared on her social media page on October 12, 2025, insisting that the move was both unnecessary and unjustified.

According to Mandy Kiss, she is mentally sound and her online activities are purely for content creation and livelihood purposes. She emphasized that recent controversies surrounding her public declarations have been exaggerated.

“Please Nigerians, have mercy on me. I am not mentally ill. I am only trying to make a living. They are using an excuse to take me to a psychiatric hospital. Everything I do online is for content and to trend,” she pleaded.

The uproar stems from her recent announcement of an attempt to break a Guinness World Record (GWR) by sleeping with 100 men in one day, a statement that sparked widespread criticism across social media platforms.

Following public backlash, Mandy Kiss clarified that her declaration was intended solely for content creation and not as a real-life intention.

The controversy surrounding the influencer has been further fueled by her recent appointment as a brand ambassador for the Lagos State Kicks Against Drug Abuse initiative.

While some Nigerians have applauded the move, others have questioned the suitability of her appointment given her previous online antics. The appointment has sparked heated debates, with critics arguing that it sends conflicting messages to young people.

Despite the criticism, Mandy Kiss remains defiant and continues to assert that her online persona is part of her career strategy.

She insists that the attempts to portray her as mentally unstable are baseless and politically or socially motivated. “I am not mentally ill; this is my work. I am an entertainer and content creator, and I cannot let undue pressure derail my livelihood,” she stated.

Legal observers and social media analysts have weighed in, noting that while online influencers have the freedom to express themselves, any attempts to manipulate perceptions about mental health must be handled with care.

Experts warn that false claims regarding psychiatric health can have serious legal and social consequences.

Mandy Kiss’ situation has highlighted the growing tension between social media culture, personal branding, and societal expectations in Nigeria.

It also raises broader questions about mental health awareness and the fine line between provocative content and actions that may invite legal or societal scrutiny.

As of October 12, 2025, the influencer continues to maintain her position that she is fit, mentally sound, and focused on her content creation career, while calling on Nigerians to exercise understanding and restraint in reacting to online content.
