Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has left fans concerned after revealing that he is once again battling depression.
The “Soso” hitmaker shared a series of heartfelt posts on Snapchat on Monday, suggesting that complications with his record label and music contracts have taken a toll on his mental health.
In one post, he wrote: “Fk contacts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again.” He blamed both his management and his younger self for agreeing to certain deals that he now regrets.
This disclosure comes weeks after Omah Lay ended his professional relationship with manager Muyiwa Awoniyi. While Awoniyi described the split as mutual in a social media statement, the singer’s label mate, Kaestyle, claimed that Omah Lay actually fired him.
Omah Lay has been open about his struggles with depression before, notably around the time he released his debut album, Boy Alone, in July 2022.
