Nollywood Mourns As only Son Of Peju Ogunmola Dies

The Nigerian movie industry is in mourning following the tragic death of Shina, the only son of veteran actress Peju Ogunmola Omobolanle and her husband, celebrated comic actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe.

The heartbreaking incident occurred while Ogunmola, 56, was on a film set. Shina, who had recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, was regarded as the pride of his mother, who often celebrated his milestones with joy.

The news of Shina’s passing was first shared by actor Odunlade Adekola on social media, sparking an outpouring of condolences from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers.

Since the announcement, messages of sympathy have flooded Ogunmola’s social media platforms, with numerous Nollywood stars expressing grief over the loss.

Shina’s untimely death has left the Omobolanle family and the broader Nigerian film community deeply devastated.
