Big Brother Naija star, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has sparked fresh drama on social media after firing back at Scott Iguma, who recently criticized the poor state of a highbrow area in Lagos.
Scott Iguma had taken to social media to lament the deplorable condition of one of Lagos’ luxury neighborhoods, highlighting issues such as bad roads, flooding, and poor infrastructure. His post quickly gained traction, fueling debates about the reality behind Lagos’ reputation as Nigeria’s “mega city.”
But Tacha, never one to let controversy slide, clapped back at Iguma in a fiery response. She questioned his constant fixation on Lagos, suggesting that he deliberately seeks to spotlight only the negative aspects of the city. In her words: “Is Lagos the only state in Nigeria?” She further accused Iguma of always finding faults whenever Lagos or anything connected to reality TV is mentioned.
Tacha’s bold response has divided fans and netizens. While some believe Scott Iguma was only voicing the frustrations of Lagos residents who live in so-called elite neighborhoods but endure substandard facilities, others praised Tacha for calling out what she sees as biased and selective criticism.
The heated exchange has once again brought conversations about Lagos’ infrastructure, governance, and urban development into the spotlight. For many, the clash between Tacha and Scott Iguma represents more than just celebrity banter — it highlights how public figures influence the framing of Nigeria’s social issues.
Whether one agrees with Iguma’s constant criticism or Tacha’s fiery defense, one thing is clear: Lagos remains a city of contradictions, where luxury and decay exist side by side, and celebrities are now at the center of that debate.
