Nigerian media sweetheart Toke Makinwa has warmed the internet with a tender mother-daughter moment. The former OAP shared a heart-melting picture of herself and her newborn, Yakira Eliana, rocking matching pink outfits.

Two weeks ago, Nollywood Times confirmed that Toke had welcomed her first child, a baby girl, and she has since described motherhood as the most fulfilling experience of her life. “My heart is so full of gratitude, if anyone ever told me that life would get this good, whooosh!!!! Yakira and I just wishing you all a lovely Sunday. Mama YaYa,” she gushed.

Fans couldn’t hold back their joy as they flooded her page with love:

As she signed out of August, Toke confessed she was completely obsessed with baby Yakira, snapping countless photos and cherishing every little moment. She described her daughter as “the best gift ever,” noting how her arrival healed the wounds she had carried since childhood.

In a sweet message to her baby, the doting mum wrote that Yakira had changed her status, filled her heart, and even inspired their very first mommy-daughter manicure session. She playfully imagined the spa dates they would share in the years to come.
