Veteran juju musician, Ebenezer Obey, has dismissed circulating claims that he had passed away or suffered a stroke, describing them as malicious fabrications.
In a video he posted on Instagram, the music legend appeared in high spirits alongside his two sons, singing joyfully to assure his fans of his well-being. The clip was captioned: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
Obey clarified that he had only travelled to London to take care of himself and expressed displeasure at the spread of false reports, including doctored images suggesting his death.
Reaffirming his faith, he said: “Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself.”
This is not the first time the legendary singer has been targeted by such rumours. Similar reports surfaced in 2020 and again earlier this year, both of which he also debunked.
