Armed Robbers Attack Singer Qdot at His Lagos Home, Cart Away Valuables

Popular Nigerian musician Qudus Fakoya Olatunji, widely recognized by his stage name Qdot, has reportedly fallen victim to a violent robbery at his Lagos residence. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, leaving the artiste shaken and his personal belongings stolen.

According to reports, the attack took place around 2:30 a.m. when armed men broke into the singer’s home. The intruders were said to have dispossessed him of valuable items, including phones and laptops. Beyond the physical theft, they allegedly gained access to his bank accounts, from which funds were transferred, and also hijacked his social media platforms.

The shocking development was made public by talent manager Dami Adenuga, who issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter). Adenuga not only confirmed the incident but also cautioned fans and members of the public to be wary of fraudulent activities that may arise from the compromised accounts.

He wrote:

“Nigerian singer Qdot was attacked and robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30 a.m. today. The armed robbers carted away his phones, laptops, and transferred all funds from his accounts.

They also gained access to his social media accounts. The public is hereby urged to disregard any suspicious messages, posts, or financial requests coming from Qdot’s accounts at this time.”

As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command had not issued any official statement regarding the case. Fans and the general public are now anxiously awaiting further details and possible updates on investigations into the incident.

Qdot, aged 35, has been a consistent figure in Nigeria’s contemporary music space for more than a decade. He is best known for his unique sound that merges Fuji with Afrobeats, a style that has earned him both critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. Some of his notable tracks include Alomo Meta, Gbese, and Jegele, all of which have contributed to his reputation as a street-inspired artiste with broad appeal.

Over the years, Qdot has cemented his place as one of the significant voices shaping Nigeria’s evolving music scene. His originality and dedication to fusing traditional sounds with modern rhythms have kept him relevant and respected within the industry.
