Nollywood actress Seilat Adebowale has openly expressed her frustration with senior colleague Aisha Lawal, accusing her of constantly belittling and undermining her efforts in the industry.

Taking to her social media page, Seilat wrote:

"I’ve been holding back for a long time, but silence is not stuupiidity. I may be gentle, but I am not blind to the constant attempts to frustrate me. The same person I respected, the same person I looked up to, has made it their mission to keep pressing on my neck. I’ve tried to overlook, I’ve tried to ignore, but how long can someone stay quiet when they’re being pushed to the wall? Respect is supposed to be mutual, but when someone keeps testing your patience and mistaking your calmness for weakness, what do you do? I won’t lie, I’m drained. But one thing is sure I refuse to let anyone dim my light."

Her post quickly stirred reactions, and in less than a few hours, Aisha Lawal fired back with a cryptic response. The actress wrote:

"Since you are not brave enough to say what happens, keep quiet then."

Adding more heat to the matter, Aisha went further to drop a proverb in Yoruba:

"Ipako o gbo shuti, ori ele gan lo baje. Street credibility dey."
