Lagos, Nigeria – Nollywood actress Peju Johnson—known for her conviction, wit, and candid personality—has once again made headlines following a revealing interview about body image, self-worth, and her romantic preferences.
“I didn’t go under the knife—being natural is enough.”
Peju Johnson addressed persistent rumors about cosmetic surgery, particularly targeting speculation around her slim waist and flat tummy. “I didn’t go under the knife,” she stated confidently. “I don’t like pain. I don’t even like injections, so I can’t undergo such.”
Instead, the actress attributes her toned figure to a natural lifestyle. “I just don’t eat much, and I use a waist trainer,” she said. “That’s it. Being natural is enough for me.”
When asked about whether her beauty gives her an edge in love, Peju was quick to laugh off the idea. “Men approach beautiful women, yes. But does that mean they’ll treat you well? Not necessarily,” she quipped.
For her, beauty might open doors, but money is what keeps them open. “I want a man who is financially stable. Love is sweet, but love alone doesn’t pay bills,” she emphasized.
While she’s often asked about her ideal partner, Peju Johnson says she values “a man who is God-fearing, responsible, and ready for commitment.” For her, those are non-negotiables.
“I’m not looking for perfection,” she added. “But I can’t settle for someone who isn’t ready to build with me. I’m not here to manage a man.”
Despite being active on social media, Peju says she keeps much of her personal life private. “I show you what I want you to see,” she revealed. “People think they know me because I’m outspoken, but I’m very protective of my peace.”
She sees this balance between openness and privacy as crucial to maintaining her personal brand in Nollywood—a space she describes as both empowering and pressure-filled.
