Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Afeez Abiodun, has opened up about the real personality of his wife, actress Mide Martins, noting that she is far different from the fiery characters she often portrays on screen.
Abiodun, who has been married to Mide for nearly two decades, explained that while audiences are used to seeing her play strong-willed or confrontational roles, in reality, she has a calm and peace-loving nature.
“She’s the opposite of what people see on TV,” he shared during a recent interview. “I have never had any reason to separate her from fighting anyone on set. She would rather get into her car and drive off than engage in any fight.”
The filmmaker further drew a comparison with actress Wunmi Toriola, suggesting that her real-life personality aligns more closely with her movie roles.
“Wunmi’s character is a bit similar to her role in movies,” Abiodun remarked. “If you don’t look for her trouble she won’t fight you, but if you trespass, she will act exactly as you see in movies.”
