Popular comedian and actor, Woli Arole, has encouraged people to focus on building meaningful relationships before requesting assistance from others.
In a recent Instagram post, he expressed concern over the increasing habit of individuals seeking favours from people they hardly interact with on platforms like WhatsApp or Instagram.
Arole stressed the importance of understanding and practicing proper “relationship ethics,” highlighting that some people reach out only when they need something, without maintaining any prior connection.
"Please learn to build relationships with people first before you proceed to ask them for favours," he wrote. "You see someone randomly asking you for a favour. Someone that rarely says hello on WhatsApp or Instagram, rarely chats and greets you. Learn relationship ethics."
