Nigerian music star Reekado Banks has opened up about the current status of his relationship, revealing uncertainty about moving forward with marriage plans he once considered.
During a recent chat with Esther Oye on E-Splash on TVC, the singer, known for his soulful hits, shared that while he had been planning marriage just two months ago, things have since taken a different turn.
“I am just in a place where we’re going through life. It’s a bit hectic in there right now,” Reekado admitted. “In the last interview I did that popped out with Eni, I was pretty sure about my stance, but now, I’m in a different place. And it’s only been two months since then. That’s why I said I can’t really say anything about it now.”
Though he's not entirely closing the door on marriage, the artist noted that his current mindset is shaped by personal growth and evolving emotions.
“It is based on experience because I was sure then, but I am not sure now,” he explained. “I wouldn’t blame it on music; I would blame it on myself and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on.”
Reekado Banks, who shares a child with his partner, emphasized that he's still navigating this phase of life and isn't ready to make any definitive statements about marriage at the moment.
