Popular Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo is under fire after a recent Instagram post praising her husband sparked reactions from followers accusing her of hypocrisy.
The drama began when the actress shared a romantic video of her husband on her Instagram page, describing him as her "heavyweight husband" and boldly stating, “I can kill for my man.” While the post was meant to celebrate her marriage, it quickly drew criticism due to her previous stance in the Yul Edochie and Judy Austin scandal.
One Instagram user called her out, saying: “You will kill for him, but you are supporting Judy for taking another woman’s husband. You are all dishing out what you can’t take.”
Uche Ogbodo fired back, responding: “Una don start again o! When I start, don’t run o.”
Another follower advised her to spiritually guard her marriage, warning: “I hope you are praying against every strange woman in Judy’s form who will claim another woman’s husband is her soulmate. Your home is covered.”
The actress was quick to shut it down with a blunt reply: “Please don’t come here with that.”
Yet another critic warned her of blindly trusting her spouse, stating: “Men will stain your white oo. Kill for him ke?” Uche firmly doubled down on her earlier statement, saying: “Yes, I said what I said.”
The backlash stems from Uche’s vocal support for Judy Austin, who is now married to Yul Edochie—a relationship that stirred controversy after it was revealed Yul had been with Judy for six years while still married to May Edochie.
At the height of the scandal, Uche openly stood by Judy, calling out her colleagues for remaining silent and labeling them “chameleons.” She also clarified that although she sympathized with May, she refused to “inherit enemies.”
The incident has reignited online debates around celebrity relationships, loyalty, and double standards in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
