Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has responded to criticism from a fan who expressed disappointment over her character in the recently released Yoruba movie, Konge 3, produced by fellow actress Wumi Toriola.
A female fan, who claimed to once admire Filani, revealed that her perception of the actress changed after watching her role in Konge. She commented,
“I really like you, but from the day I watched Konge, I have a different perspective about you.”
In response, Mosun Filani took to social media to clarify that she was simply playing a scripted role, emphasizing the difference between her on-screen character and her true personality. She wrote,
“Haaaa. Na movie o, if I no act well, na una go complain. I did a good job, now una don dey hate me.”
The Yoruba movie star further shared her thoughts on her Instagram page, stressing that she was only doing her job as a professional actress and urged fans to separate fiction from reality. She stated,
“Kilo sele gangan.
It’s a MOVIE!!!
I got the script.
Got into character and delivered perfectly for y’all enjoyment.
That’s why it’s called MAKE BELIEVE!!!
NOTE: That’s not me. That’s not my personality in real life.
I have had my own share of friendship and even family betrayal, too.
Watch the movie… Learn and move on… Don’t hate on the actors.”
