Fresh concerns have emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad, as his maternal aunt has spoken out with unsettling claims about what she witnessed in the aftermath of his passing on September 12, 2022.
During an interview with outspoken activist and online personality VeryDarkMan, the late singer’s aunt recounted disturbing scenes and raised serious allegations involving those close to Mohbad.
According to her, she visited the artist’s home shortly after his death and was shocked by what she found.
“There was blood all over the singlet,” she revealed. “I went to go and meet my sister; she said she just finished washing Mohbad’s duvet. She said the blood was too much.”
She also alleged that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, behaved suspiciously during those early moments, claiming that her immediate focus was on gaining access to the singer’s phone.
“The first thing she was fighting for was Mohbad’s phone. I wanted to fight Wunmi that day,” she said, implying that her reaction was inappropriate given the situation.
In addition, the aunt mentioned ongoing tension in the singer’s marriage, noting that the couple often had heated arguments. She added that Mohbad’s mother was once stopped from recording a video of her son by one of his close friends, an incident that raised further doubts within the family.
These latest claims have intensified public calls for a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s untimely death. Many are urging authorities to leave no stone unturned.
