Renowned Nollywood actor, filmmaker, and director Kunle Afolayan has unveiled a brand-new 115-seater cinema, proudly named The Kunle Afolayan Cinema, in honour of his contributions to the Nigerian film and entertainment industry.
Taking to his Instagram page, Afolayan shared a video showing him alongside fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi and others touring the new cinema space. In the caption, he expressed gratitude and explained the significance behind the cinema’s name.
“It shall be called The Kunle Afolayan cinema for the great works he has done in the movie and entertainment industry. It is a 115-seater cinema. Thank you @seyivodi,” he wrote.
The announcement drew an outpouring of support and congratulatory messages from colleagues and fans in the entertainment world.
Actor Femi Adebayo commented, “Congratulations, omoya.”
Veteran actor Muyiwa Ademola responded with a heart and glass emoji, while Saidi Balogun simply wrote, “Well done!”
Filmmaker Uzee Usman added, “Impactful! Congrats sir.”
