Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has opened the doors to fresh talent with an exciting casting call for an upcoming Yoruba pre-colonial era web series.
The project, which will be produced by KAP Motion Pictures in collaboration with KAP Stream TV, is seeking male and female actors between the ages of 25 and 50. One key requirement: fluency in the Yoruba language.
Sharing the announcement via Instagram, Afolayan wrote:
“Ever dreamed of being in a KAP/@kunleafo project? This is your moment!”
Filming for the web series is set to begin in August, and auditions are already underway.
How to audition:
• Record a Yoruba monologue (maximum 1 minute)
• Follow @kapstream_tv on Instagram
• Post the monologue on your Instagram page using the hashtag #KAPwebseries
• Email your monologue to gafolabi@kapmotionpictures.com
Aspiring actors are encouraged to seize this opportunity to be part of what promises to be another iconic production from the acclaimed filmmaker behind Aníkúlápó, Citation, and October 1.
With a focus on cultural storytelling and historical depth, the upcoming web series is expected to further cement KAP Motion Pictures’ reputation for excellence in indigenous content.
