Renowned missionary filmmaker and drama minister Felix Bankole is set to release his long-awaited Christian film, The Macedonian Call, to a global audience via online premiere on Sunday, July 20. With a compelling mix of spiritual insight, gripping narrative, and profound biblical inspiration, the film is poised to leave a lasting impression on Christian viewers and believers worldwide.
Written, produced, and directed by Bankole himself, The Macedonian Call is not just another faith-based film—it is a spiritual experience that seeks to awaken hearts, confront hidden battles, and inspire believers to respond to the divine call of God in their own lives. The film is a production of Vision Drama Missions Outreach International, in partnership with NOSPLEJ Media Lagos, and marks another significant milestone in Bankole’s more than two-decade journey as a gospel drama minister.
Drawing from real-life missionary experiences and biblical truths, The Macedonian Call explores themes such as salvation, deliverance, spiritual warfare, ancestral bondage, and the redemptive power of God’s grace. These themes are skillfully woven into the storyline to reflect the inner struggles many Christians face—struggles that often go unnoticed behind the façade of a peaceful, everyday life.
The story follows the life of a seemingly kind and successful man whose quiet suffering stems from deep spiritual bondage. Although he appears to be thriving outwardly, unseen chains from his past hold him captive. His life begins to unravel when he encounters Pastor Audu, played by Felix Bankole, and the pastor’s assistant during an unexpected visit. The presence of these spiritual leaders exposes long-standing spiritual strongholds, forcing a confrontation between the man’s ancestral heritage and the liberating power of the Gospel.
What unfolds is a moving tale of divine encounters, generational healing, and personal deliverance. The spiritual journey portrayed in The Macedonian Call echoes the biblical story found in Acts 16, where the Apostle Paul receives a vision from a man in Macedonia pleading for help. The film challenges viewers to consider their own role in responding to God’s call—to be vessels of truth and love in a world plagued by spiritual darkness.
Felix Bankole shared the heart behind the film, saying,
“This story is meant to inspire and challenge the body of Christ. Many people are suffering in silence, dealing with spiritual battles they don’t fully understand. This film sheds light on the power of deliverance and the importance of answering God’s call to missions and ministry.”
Bankole brings more than 25 years of experience in gospel drama and field missions to the project. Having worked closely with unreached people groups and led deliverance ministries across Nigeria and beyond, his personal testimony fuels the authenticity and urgency of the film’s message. The Macedonian Call is not only a work of fiction—it is a reflection of real spiritual encounters and the undeniable power of God to transform lives.
The film also benefits from a talented and passionate cast, including Beauty Chukwuka (who also serves as co-producer), Yemi Bankole, Tolu Adegbo Israel, Adedeji Adekusibe, Havinslota Adeyinka, Alex Ekechukwu, and Juliet Ejiofor. Each actor brings emotional depth and sincerity to their roles, enhancing the film’s powerful storytelling and spiritual tone.
Beauty Chukwuka, who plays Mrs. Pelumi, praised the film’s vision and spiritual impact:
“Being part of this project has been a blessing. The story touched me deeply, and I believe it will touch others too. We poured our hearts into every scene, trusting God to use this film as a tool for healing and change.”
The Macedonian Call is particularly significant for Christians interested in missions, spiritual warfare, and the call to evangelism. It serves as both a reminder and a rallying cry: God is still calling laborers into the harvest field, and every believer has a role to play.
The film will be available for global viewing via an online premiere on Sunday, July 20. Details on how to access the premiere will be shared through official platforms of Vision Drama Missions Outreach International and NOSPLEJ Media.
As the countdown begins, The Macedonian Call promises to deliver more than just entertainment—it aims to stir hearts, spark conversations, and ultimately, draw people closer to their divine purpose. In an age of distractions and spiritual apathy, this film arrives as a timely reminder that God’s call is still echoing—will you answer?
