Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, thrilled fans at the England Women’s Euro trophy parade held at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The Afrofusion star joined the Lionesses on stage to perform his hit song For My Hand featuring English singer Ed Sheeran, as thousands gathered to celebrate the team’s triumph. England had defeated Spain 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time, retaining their European Championship title in dramatic fashion.
Burna Boy’s performance electrified the atmosphere, with England manager Sarina Wiegman, the Lionesses, and an estimated 100,000 fans seen singing and dancing during the celebration.
This marks another historic moment for Burna Boy, who in 2023 became the first African artiste to perform at a UEFA Champions League final. He and Brazilian pop star Anitta headlined the Kick Off Show that year, earning global acclaim.
