Bbnaija’s Anto Lecky Appointed SSA on Tourism and Creative Economy in Edo State

Former Big Brother Naija star and media entrepreneur, Anto Lecky, has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State on Tourism and Creative Economy.

She made the announcement on her Instagram page on Monday, July 22, expressing gratitude to the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the opportunity to serve.

“I thank His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State… for the opportunity to serve him, my state and my country again in another capacity,” she wrote.

In her post, Anto expressed strong optimism about the future of Edo State’s cultural and tourism sectors, especially with ongoing heritage projects and developments in the creative industry.

“With the return of many stolen Benin Bronze, soon-to-be opened museums, and an ever-growing entertainment industry, there is no better time for Edo State to be on the forefront of tourism and the creative economy in Nigeria and the world,” she stated.

Anto also used the moment to invite collaboration from stakeholders in and outside the country.

“Edo State’s borders and its economy are open to all, travelers and investors, domestic and international. I look forward to working with all stakeholders,” she added.

Alongside her announcement, Anto shared her official portrait and explained her symbolic fashion choices in celebration of her heritage:

“As a proud Edo babe… I am wearing the Gbogane fabric of my Etsako tribe… and red coral beads which signify royalty, power, dominance, and protection.”

Known for her work in youth advocacy, media, and public policy, Anto Lecky continues to use her platform to impact communities. This latest appointment marks another milestone in her evolving journey from reality TV star to public service leader.
