Yinka Theisen, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, has responded to a viral social media post that warned women to steer clear of the sons of veteran actor Pete Edochie.
The controversial post, shared on Facebook, accused the Edochie men of poor treatment of women. It read:
“Avoid Pete Edochie’s sons. They generally don’t treat women well!! Yes, I said it.”
Reacting to the statement, Yinka Theisen offered a balanced perspective. While she acknowledged the concern raised by the post, she also took a moment to defend her former husband, describing him as a good person despite their differences.
“Sis, I thank you for this. There is more than meets the eye, but not all are guilty. Linc is a good man. We have different ways of dealing with things when we are under pressure. I will not throw him under the bus,” she wrote.
Yinka also reflected on her emotional journey, revealing that while she had previously expressed frustration, she has since found peace and is leaning on forgiveness and faith.
“The other day I was upset, but I am okay now. Forgiveness and love! No one lives forever. So much more, sis. We remain prayerful. God bless. So much more than meets the eye. Thank you for your support. Gene is an awesome man. He has been my friend for so many years. I love you so much, my sister,” she added.
Her response has drawn praise from some quarters for its maturity and restraint, especially as conversations around the Edochie family continue to stir public interest.
