Nollywood actress Bose Alao has shared her experience of surviving a recent fire outbreak at her home, expressing heartfelt gratitude that no lives were lost.
Taking to social media, the Yoruba movie star posted a video showing the aftermath of the fire, which occurred on May 30th. She revealed that despite the devastation, her family remained safe, and she found reasons to remain thankful, especially as they celebrated her children’s birthday and the Sallah festivities shortly afterward.
"Grateful beyond words. Exactly 1 week yesterday, Friday, May 30th, our home caught fire, but by God’s grace, no life was lost," she wrote. "Yesterday, we celebrated our children’s birthday and Sallah, a reminder that even through the flames, life continues to give us reasons to be thankful."
Bose also commended her community for standing by her family during the crisis, noting how neighbors joined in to battle the blaze before the firefighters arrived.
“Our entire neighbourhood stood with us, fighting side-by-side even before the arrival of firefighters,” she said. “To everyone who helped, comforted, and supported us: thank you. My family is safe, but we’re starting over."
The actress concluded by asking for prayers and support as her family begins the process of recovery and reconstruction.
“I pray God sends support to help ease the financial burden on my husband and me as we rebuild the affected areas. Please keep us in your prayers,” she added.
