Controversial street-pop artist Portable has fired back at actress Laide Bakare, showing no remorse or restraint despite her recent warning to stop mentioning her name.
The drama began after Portable posted a video claiming that Laide had invited him to perform at her event but failed to pay him. In response, Laide issued a strong statement, distancing herself from his controversies and urging him to steer clear of her and her family.
Unfazed by the warning, Portable has now released another video, escalating the situation by making lewd remarks about the actress and claiming he knew she was no longer married.
He accused Laide of sparking the feud, citing her past comment where she allegedly described Nigerians who migrated to Libya as “prostitutés.” According to him, had she not made such statements, he wouldn’t have called her out publicly.
In the video, Portable questioned why he should continue addressing her respectfully, initially calling her “Aunty Laide” but later discarding the title and referring to her by name. He also challenged her authority, saying she couldn’t slap him.
The singer reiterated his earlier claim that she invited him to a show but couldn’t pay for his appearance, mocking her for claiming celebrity status while allegedly lacking the means to meet basic obligations. He further belittled her background, insisting her lack of wealth is the reason he continues to speak about her without restraint.
