Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has marked his birthday with a significant humanitarian outreach in the Sabo Iddo community of the Federal Capital Territory, reaching hundreds with both medical aid and welfare support.
According to a statement issued by the church on Thursday, the outreach was part of a broader initiative to touch lives across rural and urban areas.
The church noted that over 500 widows, along with children from 10 orphanages, benefitted from the programme held at its headquarters in Abuja.
“Relief materials, food, and essential items were also distributed to widows, orphans, and other vulnerable groups as part of the church’s commitment to spreading hope, compassion, and God’s love,” the statement added.
One of the highlights of the outreach was the unveiling of a new borehole in Sabo Iddo, aimed at addressing the community’s long-standing need for clean water. Speaking during the commissioning, Dr Enenche shared the motivation behind the gesture: “What better way to celebrate life than by giving life? As I marked another year of God’s faithfulness, it was laid on my heart to give back in a way that will keep blessing lives long after the candles are out.”
He explained that the clean water initiative was more than a physical provision—it carried a message of encouragement and care. “This is not just water; it’s a flow of hope, health, and love. To God alone be all the glory,” he said.
While addressing residents of the community, Dr Enenche also offered prayers and encouraged them to receive not only the tangible support provided but also to seek a deeper connection with God. He highlighted the importance of nurturing both their spiritual and physical well-being.
Medical professionals were on ground to offer diagnosis and treatment for a variety of health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, childhood illnesses, ulcer-related issues, malaria, and infections.
David Ozigi, who heads the church’s Welfare Department, described the outreach as a reflection of the church’s core mission. “Today’s outreach is a demonstration of God’s love, which our father in the Lord, Dr Enenche, has continually shown. It is his passion to serve and uplift communities, and we are here in that same spirit,” he said.
Ozigi further explained that the borehole was constructed based on findings from a community needs assessment, which revealed a critical shortage of safe drinking water. “This borehole is a modest contribution to enhance the availability of clean water, reduce waterborne diseases, and improve the overall health of the residents,” he stated.
